Todd Thomas has a strong background in the asphalt industry with experience in various roles. Todd is currently serving as the Technical Director - Specialty Products at Asphalt Materials, INC since January 2021. Previously, they worked at Colas USA as a Lab Director and Field Services Engineer from September 2011 to September 2018. Before that, they were the Director of Product Commercialization at Road Science, LLC, where they focused on coordinating laboratory and field studies, analyzing data, and meeting with customers to understand their needs. Todd also worked at SemMaterials as a Commercialization Director, where they streamlined the process of introducing new asphalt industry products, and at Koch Industries as a Product Development Engineer, specializing in cold-in-place recycling and full depth reclamation. Todd began their career as a Materials Engineer at Elf Asphalt.
Todd Thomas attended Indiana Wesleyan University from 1985 to 1986, studying math and chemistry. Todd then transferred to Purdue University, where they completed their Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from 1986 to 1989. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Science in Transportation and Materials Engineering at Purdue University from 1989 to 1991.
