Ian Axelrod has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Ian is currently employed at Aspire as a Staff Software Engineer since February 2022. Prior to this, Ian worked at TheMuse.com from April 2016 to February 2022, where they held the positions of Platform Architect and Senior Backend Engineer.

Prior to their academic pursuits, Ian worked as a Software Engineer at InComm from February 2011 to June 2012, where they maintained and enhanced the backoffice application based on the OFBiz framework and assisted in its migration to Spring and Hibernate. Ian also gained experience as a Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase in 2010, where they developed web applications and contributed to the regression testing of the KYC system.

Ian's career began in 2008 at Humans & Technology, where they worked as a Software Engineer. Ian'sresponsibilities included assisting in the development of the main application, building in-house applications for employee management, and supporting English translation of Japanese documentation.
