Elaine Thai

Elaine Thai, P.E., PMP, is an accomplished engineering professional with over a decade of experience in program and project management. Currently serving as an Engineering Program Manager at Asplundh Construction since October 2017, Elaine manages a team of over 20 engineers in the PLS department, successfully overseeing initiatives such as the Drone Investigation, Assessment, and Repair (DIAR) Program. Prior to this role, Elaine held positions as a Senior Engineer at ASEC Inc., where responsibilities included managing SDG&E projects, and as a Design Engineer at Electrical Consultants Inc., focusing on transmission and distribution project designs. Earlier experiences include internships in structural engineering and outreach programs aimed at enhancing student knowledge in science and math. Elaine holds a Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University.
