Jose Alvarellos

Jose Alvarellos is a Flight Dynamics Engineer currently working at ASRC Federal since November 2023. Previously, Alvarellos held the same title at Emergent Space Technologies, Inc. from April 2021 to November 2023, and at Millennium Engineering and Integration from July 2019 to March 2021. Alvarellos started as a Mission Analyst/Software Engineer at Space Systems Loral, focusing on mission analysis for geostationary spacecraft and propellant budgets, from September 1999 to June 2019. Earlier experience includes a Research Associate position at NASA Ames Research Center from 1995 to 2000, engaging in software engineering and scientific research, as well as a Research Assistant role involving heliophysical numerical simulations. Alvarellos also served as a GSI/Lecturer at San Jose State University, teaching undergraduate Physics labs and a Calculus-based Introduction to Physics course from August 1993 to December 1999. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Physics from San José State University (1993-1996) and a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley (1988-1993).
