Thom DeLair is an experienced professional with a diverse background in art education and nonprofit leadership. Currently serving as a Teaching Artist at Assemble since October 2012, Thom provides enrichment in out-of-school science and creative education. In addition, Thom has held the position of Executive Director at The Development Committee since September 2007, focusing on development processes and resource management. Thom's experience includes temporary roles such as Event Coordinator for the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition and Artist for the Moving the Lives of Kids Mural Project, where nine murals were completed in the Pittsburgh area, involving youth mentorship. Educational achievements include a Bachelor's degree in Fine and Studio Arts from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies/Affairs from Cleveland State University. Other roles include Lab Monitor at the University of Pittsburgh and customer service intern at Morgan Contemporary Glass. Thom's early internship as an Intake Specialist at Housing Advocates Inc. involved assisting residents with mortgage inquiries.
