Min Zhong

Min Zhong has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. They currently hold the position of Executive Director, Medicinal Chemistry at Assembly Biosciences, Inc. since September 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Staff Scientist, Chemistry at MyoKardia, Inc. from January 2015 to September 2019. They also served as Senior Director, Chemistry at Acme Bioscience, Inc. for a brief period from March to December 2014. From August 2008 to January 2014, Min Zhong held the role of Director, Chemistry at Presidio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. They began their career at Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as a Senior Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry from July 2001 to August 2008. Before that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at Prof. James Collman group at Stanford University from January 1999 to July 2001 and at Prof. Andrew Kende group at the University of Rochester from February 1998 to January 1999. Min Zhong started their research career as a Research Assistant Professor at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences from July 1997 to January 1998.

Min Zhong completed a PhD in Organic Chemistry at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1997.
