Assembly of First Nations
Nadia Robertson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership, business development, and community engagement within Indigenous contexts. Currently serving as an administrator for the Conseil d’administration Refuge Mitshuap and co-lead trainer at the École des dirigeants des Premières Nations, Nadia also holds key roles as a business development manager for Eastern Canada with the First Nations Finance Authority and spokesperson for the Assembly of First Nations' Elected Women's Council. With a strong background in renewable energy initiatives, notably as Chair of the Board for the Mesgi’g Ugju’s’n Wind farm, and expertise in communication and negotiations as the chief councillor for the Nation Micmac de Gespeg, Nadia has been instrumental in fostering economic development and inclusive practices. Educational qualifications include governance studies at HEC Montréal and a focus on Indigenous knowledge at Cape Breton University.

Assembly of First Nations
The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) is a national advocacy organization that works to advance the collective aspirations of First Nations individuals and communities across Canada on matters of national or international nature and concern. The AFN hosts two Assemblies a year where mandates and directives for the organization are established through resolutions directed and supported by the First Nations in Assembly (elected Chiefs or proxies from member First Nations). In addition to the direction provided by Chiefs of each member First Nation, the AFN is guided by an Executive Committee consisting of an elected National Chief and Regional Chiefs from each province and territory. Representatives from five national councils (Knowledge Keepers, Youth, Veterans, 2SLGBTQQIA+ and Women) support and guide the decisions of the Executive Committee. The AFN is honored to be named as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers 2023 and National Capital Region’s Top Employers 2023.
