Alfredo Palma

Alfredo Palma has a diverse work experience in the legal and compliance field. Alfredo started their career as a Paralegal at LegalChile in 2011. Alfredo then worked as a Jefe de Escuela (Head of School) for Trabajos Voluntarios UAI at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez from 2009 to 2011.

In 2012, they joined AIG as an Abogado Jr (Junior Lawyer) before moving on to become an Abogado (In-house Counsel for Consumer Lines) in 2014. Alfredo also served as a Senior Attorney, providing legal advice and support to the General Counsel of Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay, as well as to the business areas of the company. Additionally, they took on the role of Compliance Officer, overseeing the company's compliance with legal regulations.

In 2017, Alfredo joined Southbridge Insurance Company as a Senior Attorney & Compliance Officer, continuing their work from AIG Chile Compañía de Seguros Generales S.A. Alfredo then moved to Starr Insurance Companies in 2018, where they held various roles including Head of Legal and Compliance Officer, and Regional Compliance Manager for the LatAm division.

Since 2019, Alfredo has been a Member of the Board of Directors for the International Association of Insurance Law, Chilean section (AIDA CHILE).

Most recently, they joined Moneda Asset Management in 2023 as a Compliance Director.

In 2016, they attended Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and completed a diploma program in Corporate Governance.

In 2013, Alfredo Palma studied at Universidad de los Andes (CL) and obtained a diploma in Insurance Law for Lawyers.

From 2006 to 2010, they attended Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and obtained a JD degree in Law.
