Andrea Shropshire

Andrea Shropshire is a highly experienced nursing professional with a diverse background in education, research, and clinical practice. Since January 2021, Andrea has served as an Education Specialist and Accreditation Consultant at ATI Nursing Education. Concurrently, Andrea has been a Professor of Nursing and Program Director for the Associate Degree Nursing program at Wharton County Junior College since January 2014. Andrea's research involvement as a Research Nurse at MD Anderson Cancer Center focuses on breast cancer. Previous roles include School Nurse at Katy ISD and Oncology Nurse at Northwest Cancer Center. Andrea's military service includes time as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy from 1993 to 1998. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Master of Nursing with a specialization in Nurse Educator from Chamberlain University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
