Dana Hunter

International Breeding Cooperative Facilitator at Assistance Dogs International

Dana Hunter is an experienced professional in animal care and breeding, currently serving as the International Breeding Cooperative Facilitator at Assistance Dogs International since July 2024. Prior to this role, Dana managed breeding and puppy care at Leader Dogs for the Blind from December 2018 to July 2024. Dana's background includes significant positions at Lincoln Park Zoo as Assistant Lead Keeper in the Regenstein African Journey and Walter Family Arctic Tundra exhibits, as well as a Senior Zookeeper for carnivores at Brookfield Zoo. Early career experience includes working as an Animal Keeper in the Cheetah Department at Wildlife Safari.
