Kathy Jamil

Kathy Jamil's work experience includes being the Chief Program Officer at United Way of Buffalo & Erie County since January 2023, the Director of Education from September 2020 to January 2023. Kathy also worked as a Leadership Consultant and Coach at LIT Consulting since July 2020. Prior to that, they were the Principal at Elmwood Village Charter Schools from November 2016 to September 2020, and a School Administrator at Buffalo Public Schools from September 2014 to October 2016. Kathy served as the Principal at Universal School from September 2002 to September 2014. Additionally, they worked as a Curriculum Writer at EPIC-Every Person Influences Children, where they created character-based lessons aligned with New York State standards for 7th grade students from 2006 to 2007.

Kathy Jamil began their education journey by earning a Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Buffalo State University. Afterward, they pursued a Masters of Science in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Canisius University, attending from 2005 to 2008. In 2009, they obtained certifications as a School Building Leader and a School District Leader from the NYS and NY State institutions, respectively.

Later on, they attended Relay Graduate School of Education from 2018 to 2019, where they pursued the National Principals Academy Fellowship. And finally, from 2018 to 2022, they studied at D'Youville University, obtaining a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Educational Leadership.
