Alison Rumsey

Alison Rumsey, FCIPD, currently serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Associated British Ports since July 2019. Prior to this role, Alison held significant HR leadership positions at Network Rail, including Group HR Director and HR Director for Infrastructure Projects, from February 2015 to July 2019. Alison was also the Group HR Director at the Department for Transport from October 2012 to January 2015, overseeing HR functions for various agencies. Earlier experience includes serving as HR Director at the Department of Energy and Climate Change, where Alison developed the People Strategy, and as Director of HR Policy & Reward at the Department for Business & Enterprise. Alison began their career as an HR Manager at Abbey, with experience spanning over two decades in various HR roles. Alison holds a Postgraduate degree in Personnel Management from The Manchester Metropolitan University and has education from The University of Huddersfield and West Kirby Grammar School for Girls.
