Fasal Dar has a diverse work experience in the field of photo editing and journalism. Fasal'srecent role was as the Lead Editor of the Photos Team at Associated Broadcasting Co. Pvt Ltd (TV9) starting in June 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Deputy Team Lead/Curation Editor at Burda Media India from October 2021 to December 2022. Before that, they held the position of Deputy Team Lead at Burda Media India from July 2018 to June 2020, where they focused on delivering intelligent and balanced content. Fasal also worked as a Senior Photo Editor at Microsoft News from September 2015 to June 2018, where they adhered to journalistic values and guidelines. Additionally, Fasal has experience as a Co-Founder at Gallerie One, a Visual Photo Editor at Six Red Marbles, and a South Asia Picture Desk Editor at Barcroft Media.

Fasal Dar completed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree at the University of Kashmir from 2006 to 2009. Additionally, they obtained several certifications including training in breaking news events and image verification from AFP, German language course from Max Muller Bhawan - Goethe Institut, social media search refinement from AFP, an online course on understanding photography from The Museum of Modern Art, and advanced geolocation training from AFP.
