Bill Burke

Director, U.s. Video And Audio Products at The Associated Press

Bill Burke has a extensive work experience in various roles in the media industry. Bill started their career as an Executive Producer and Producer at WPTV Newschannel 5 in 1981 and worked there until 1984. Bill then worked as a 6 PM Producer at WPLG from 1987 to 1989. After that, they joined NBC 6 South Florida as an Executive Producer, where they worked until 1994. From 1994 to 1996, they served as the Asst. News Director at WIS-TV. In 1995, they became the News Director at WPBF-TV. In 1997, they joined Associated Press, first as the Electronic News Production System (ENPS) Product Manager until 2008, then as the Global Director, Online Video Products until 2012. Currently, they hold the position of Director, U.S. Video and Audio Products at Associated Press.

Bill Burke attended the University of Virginia from 1974 to 1977, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Political and Social Thought and English. Bill later returned to the same university from 1977 to 1979 to complete their Master's degree in English Literature, which they obtained in 1984.
