Helena Alves is a seasoned videojournalist currently employed by the Associated Press since February 2014. Prior to this role, Alves gained valuable experience as a freelancer, covering significant social unrest in Brazil during mid-2013, and worked as a stringer for BR Press, focusing on cultural events in 2012. Additional roles include PR Assistant at Bolton and Quinn, a researcher for Films of Record, and a Press Office Assistant during the London 2012 Festival. Alves has also honed journalistic skills as a Robert Schuman Journalism Trainee at the European Parliament and as a reporter for SIC.
