Ken Moritsugu

Ken Moritsugu currently serves as the Greater China Correspondent for The Associated Press, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this, Moritsugu was a Visiting Professor at Tsinghua University, teaching business news writing and intercultural communication. With extensive experience at The Associated Press, Moritsugu held various leadership positions including News Director for Greater China, Japan and the Koreas, and Tokyo Bureau Chief, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing multimedia coverage and innovative storytelling. Additional experience includes serving as an India Correspondent for Knight Ridder, a National Economics Correspondent in Washington, and reporting for Newsday, St. Petersburg Times, and The Japan Times. Moritsugu's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and East Asian studies from Princeton University.
