Christine Wilson

Christine Wilson is currently the Vice Chair at Associated Universities. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Connecticut from January 2006 to December 2019, where they were the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs & Director of Student Activities. In this role, they supervised up to six directors and seven associate directors, with a total staff of up to 69 full-time professionals and 19 graduate assistants. Christine was also responsible for budgets totaling over 13 million dollars.

Wilson has extensive experience in student affairs, having served as the Director of Student Activities at the University of Connecticut. In this role, they oversaw Business Services; Community Outreach (alternative breaks, semester-long service); Leadership and Organizational Development (support/training for over 650 student organizations and advisors, emerging and advanced leadership development programs), Trustee Student Organization Support (eight fee-funded media, governance, and programming student groups); Major Events and Programs, Spirit-Pride-Tradition programs (cheerleaders, dance team, mascots); and Club Sports (2006-2015). Christine also supervised the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life from 2009-2013, and developed Student Affairs Veteran’s Services during that time. In addition, they supervised the five cultural centers: African American Cultural Center, Asian American Cultural Center, Puerto Rican and Latin American Cultural Center, Rainbow Center, and Women’s Center from 2011-2016. Christine also developed the Native American Cultural Programs in 2016.

Christine Wilson has a Doctor of Philosophy in Education from the University of Rhode Island, a Graduate Certificate and Licenced Trainer in Restorative Practices from the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP) Graduate School, a Master's degree in College Student Personnel Work from Indiana State University, and a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Political Science from Indiana State University. Christine also has a Diploma in Plant Based Culinary Arts from the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. Christine has certification from the NACUA (National Association of College and University Attorneys) in "Title IX Coordinator Training" and "Conducting Effective Investigations", and they have certification from the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP) Graduate School in Licensed Trainer: "Introduction to Restorative Practices," "Using Circles Effectively," and "Facilitating Restorative Conferences". Lastly, they have certification from NASPA - Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education in Student Affairs Law and Policy.
