Fran Cardells, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and data science. Fran currently serves as the Senior Director of AI & Data Cloud at Microsoft, where they oversee the strategic architecture and engineering of AI solutions on a global scale. Prior to their current role, Fran has held key positions at various renowned organizations such as ACM, Association for Computing Machinery, World Economic Forum, and Infosys. Additionally, they founded and led their own consultancy, Quantoid, where they worked with retailers and brands to implement advanced machine learning technologies and modern big data stacks for customer experience improvement, AI predictions, and automation. Fran has also worked as a Senior AI Technologist at Infosys and held leadership roles at Salesforce and Google, contributing to their data cloud and AI initiatives. Before transitioning to industry, Fran was involved in multiple scientific engineering projects and conducted research in the field of enterprise machine vision and computer vision as a Global Researcher at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Fran Cardells, PhD, has a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD and was a Doctoral Fellow in the EU Marie Curie PhD Programme in Robotics.
