Kara Parkey

Kara Parkey has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Kara currently holds the position of Chief of Staff at MX, a company that helps financial institutions and fintechs optimize their data utilization. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President - Office of the CEO at MX. Kara also worked as the Director of Business Development at MX, where they were responsible for facilitating the effective use of financial data by clients.

Before joining MX, Kara was actively involved in the Association for Financial Technology (AFT). Kara served as the President of AFT and was a member of the Board of Directors. AFT is a premier resource for networking and professional development in the financial industry.

Kara also has experience in the nonprofit sector, as they held the role of Managing Director at the Brandon Dewitt Foundation. This organization focuses on investing in initiatives that impact cancer patients and their families' lives.

Earlier in their career, Kara worked at Built Technologies as the VP of Strategic Accounts and Strategic Alliance Manager. Kara was responsible for managing strategic partnerships and developing key accounts in the technology industry.

Kara began their professional journey at PwC, where they served as an Associate and completed internships. Kara also pursued their Higher Education at Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management as a Macc Student.

Prior to their professional endeavors, Kara attended Samford University as a student.

Kara Parkey completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting at Samford University, from 2009 to 2013. Following that, they pursued a Masters of Accountancy degree in Accounting and Finance at Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management from 2013 to 2014. In September 2014, they obtained their certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the AICPA institution.
