As Chief of Staff, Layla Allahverdi works closely with the CEO, executive leadership, and team leaders in translating ASCD’s strategic vision into action and advancing ASCD's mission and impact. She facilitates and leads strategic and operational meetings, communications, and initiatives that improve efficacy, engagement, and culture at ASCD. For 12 years, Layla has served ASCD in various roles that enhance the leadership capacity of ASCD staff and educator communities to support the whole child, elevate the profession, and promote equity in education.
She holds a bachelor's degree in global affairs from George Mason University and a master's degree in international education and training from American University in Washington, D.C.
