Andrew Lounder

Andrew Lounder has a diverse work experience in the field of higher education. Andrew has held various roles at different organizations, starting with their position as a Resident Director and Program Officer at Colby-Sawyer College from 2005 to 2007. Andrew then worked as a Graduate Assistant for Alcohol Policy Initiatives at the University of Pennsylvania from 2007 to 2008 before joining the New Faculty Majority as a Researcher in 2011. In 2013, they interned at the New America Foundation's Education Policy Program, where they conducted issue research and contributed to their blog. From 2013 to 2014, they served as the Deputy Director of the National Commission on College and University Board Governance, providing support, research, and writing services. Andrew also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, conducting research and evaluation on various programs from 2010 to 2015. In 2015, they became an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Maryland College Park. Andrew's most recent positions include Director of Special Projects, Director of Programs, Senior Director of Programming and Council Engagement, and Associate Vice President of Programs at the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges since 2013.

Andrew Lounder received their undergraduate degree in English and Education from Wheaton College Massachusetts in 2005. Andrew then pursued a Master's degree in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania from 2007 to 2008. Afterwards, they attended The University of Georgia in 2008 for an unspecified degree. Finally, they completed their education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from the University of Maryland from 2009 to 2015.
