Doug Goldenberg-Hart has a diverse work experience in the publishing and education industry. Doug currently holds the position of Associate Vice President for Content Strategy and Development at AGB (Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges). In this role, they are responsible for identifying and optimizing the content needs of AGB's members. Doug also oversees the organization's digital and print publications, research initiatives, online courses, certificates, and other digital products. Doug works closely with the VP of Content and Program Strategy and the AVP for Programs to implement AGB's content strategy and align it with the organization's program strategy. Prior to their current role, Doug served as the Director of AGB Publications. In this role, they were responsible for establishing and implementing the strategic vision and operational tactics for all AGB Publications functions, including editorial direction, business planning, budgetary oversight, technology applications, book production, distribution and inventory management, and sales. Doug also has experience as the Principal of Hart Editorial Services, where they worked from 2006 to 2019. Doug has also worked in various editorial and acquisitions roles at CASE, CQ Press / SAGE Publications, Inc., and Greenwood Publishing Group.
Doug Goldenberg-Hart earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Austin College, where they studied from 1981 to 1985. Doug then pursued further education and obtained an ABD (All But Dissertation) in Government from The University of Texas at Austin, completing their studies between 1986 and 1996.
