Marcus Glassman serves as the Government Affairs Director for Agriculture and International Development at the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) since January 2025. Previously, Marcus was a Nonresident Fellow at the Supporters of Agricultural Research Foundation, where responsibilities included anchoring investments with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Marcus also held various roles at the Ecosystem Services Market Consortium, culminating as Director of Policy Engagement, focusing on sustainable agricultural practices. Earlier experience includes serving as a Research Associate at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, contributing to major initiatives like the Feed the Future initiative, and working as a Biological Science Aid at USDA-ARS. Educational qualifications include a BA in Anthropology from Purdue University and an MS in Public Health Microbiology & Emerging Infectious Diseases from The George Washington University.
