Cara Sanner

Regulatory Support Services Program Manager at Association of Social Work Boards

Cara Sanner began their work experience in 1997 as a Waste Services Program Manager at the City of Lansing. Cara then transitioned to the role of Project Manager at the Michigan Recycling Coalition in 1998. In 2002, they became the Director of the Clinton County Department of Waste Management and held that position until 2011. Since then, they have been working at the ASWB - Association of Social Work Boards, where they are currently the Regulatory Support Services Program Manager. In this role, they are responsible for managing projects and programming to deliver regulatory services and resources to ASWB's member jurisdictions. Cara also provides support for the Association's governmental affairs program.

Cara Sanner completed their Bachelor of Social Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Community Relations at Michigan State University from 1992 to 1996. Later, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in Public Administration from the University of Virginia from 2019 to 2020.
