Cristina Wingate

Cristina Wingate currently serves as Lead Counsel for M&A, Strategy, and Investments at Assurant since July 2022. Prior to this role, Wingate was a Partner at McDermott Will & Emery from May 2014 to July 2022, focusing on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions, particularly in complex dealings involving private equity sponsors. Earlier in her career, Wingate held positions as an Associate Attorney and Summer Associate, gaining experience in legal research and drafting judicial findings. With a background that includes roles as a Legal Assistant in various firms and as a Crisis Counselor, Wingate possesses a diverse skill set in legal practices and client management. Cristina Wingate holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Human Social Development from the University of Miami.
