Hector Garcia

Hector Garcia, MBA, PMP, CSM, SPC, LPM, is an experienced software engineering leader with a strong background in project management and Agile methodologies. Currently serving as AVP of Software Engineering at Assurant since May 2018, Hector has successfully led and coached Scrum teams on Salesforce and Integration projects across various business areas, including Product Definition and Customer Relationship Management. Previously, Hector held senior project management roles at The Warranty Group, INSTEC, Capgemini, Atos Origin, and NCR, where there was a focus on implementing data warehouses, managing enterprise applications, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects. Hector's educational background includes a Master's Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University, an MBA from Universidad Externado de Colombia, and a B.S. in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from Universidad de Los Andes.
