GMak Gopi

GMak Gopi has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. They have worked as the Head of Business Unit / GM at Assure since March 2022. Prior to this, they served as the National Coordinator of NA Funding at Isha Foundation starting from January 2018. In this role, they oversaw North America Funding and large-scale programs, successfully increasing revenue through digital outreach and marketing efforts.

From August 2006 to January 2019, Gopi worked at GlaxoSmithkline as the Head of Portfolio Management. In this position, they were responsible for aligning business-IT strategies and projects, developing project selection criteria, and overseeing project execution.

Before that, from May 2000 to August 2006, Gopi worked at Ascendum LLC as the Director of Client Services. They managed key client engagements, directed the sales staff, and handled P&L accountability. During this time, they worked with senior stakeholders from FORTUNE 500 companies such as Johnson & Johnson and GE.

Gopi's early work experience includes their role as a Microsoft Technology Lead / TA at the Center for Software Development from August 1998 to May 2000. In this position, they managed the implementation of Microsoft technologies in software development projects, as well as an eLearning course automation system. They also served as an instructor for Microsoft COM/DCOM technology courses.

GMak Gopi completed their education at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. From 1994 to 1998, they pursued a degree in Engineering Technology and obtained an MS(tech) degree. Later, from 1998 to 2000, they pursued an M.S degree in Software Systems. In addition to their academic qualifications, GMak Gopi has also obtained several certifications including Agile Development from GSK, Corporate Yoga For Success Trainer from Isha USA, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) from GSK, Mindfulness and Meditation Mentor from Isha USA, and PMP PMI certification.
