Jonathan McHale

Jonathan McHale has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Jonathan most recently held the position of Head of Software Engineering / Development Lead at Assured Data Protection, starting in April 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Developer on a contract basis at Assured Data Protection and Infinity Works. At Infinity Works, they worked on various projects involving .NET Core, Docker, AWS, Rancher, Mongo, Prometheus, Java 8, Maven, Git, Hippo CMS, PHP, Python, Wagtail CMS, and Python, Java, Serverless, and AWS Lambdas.

Before joining Infinity Works, Jonathan worked as a .NET Developer on contract for Marlowe plc, FMG Ltd, Parabis Group/Alix Partners, Control F1 Ltd, thebigword, and Tribal Group. Their roles involved utilizing various technical skills such as .NET, ASP.NET, WebApi, Telematics, RabbitMQ, AngularJS, Knockout JS, MySQL, Amazon Web Services, Git/Bitbucket/SourceTree, and TFS.

Jonathan's earlier career included a position as a Senior Developer at The Nostrum Group, where they were responsible for C#, ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, SVN, SQL Server, MSBuild, and CruiseControl. Jonathan also has experience as a System Developer at aquila, where they used Java, Spring, C, UNIX, Oracle, Oracle Forms, CruiseControl, Delphi, and Fortran, among others. Jonathan worked on maintaining environments, release scripts, in-house tools, and databases, and later transitioned to a large Java project with a focus on test-driven and agile development.

Jonathan McHale earned a Computer Science BSc hons degree from the University of Warwick from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended Reigate College from 1998 to 2000 and completed A-Levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Computing, and General Studies.
