Larakay Skinner

Larakay Skinner, CHC, has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Their most recent role is as the Director of Account Management at AssuredPartners, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, where they held various roles from 2004 to 2023. These roles include Director of Client Delivery, Project Director for Commercial Sales Proposals and Implementation, Manager of Provider Relations, and Manager of Strategic Marketing Communications. Before their time at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Larakay worked as the Manager of Mid-Atlantic Marketing and Sales at BenefitMall from 2007 to 2010. Larakay also gained experience at Calvert Education Services as a Sales Support from 2002 to 2004. Larakay has a strong foundation in healthcare administration as they began their career in the United States Air Force as a Healthcare Administrator/Aeromedical Evacuation from 1994 to 2001, where they received accolades for their outstanding performance.

Larakay Skinner, CHC, holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Sociology from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Larakay also studied Anthropology/Sociology with a Linguistics Focus at Northern Arizona University. In 2004, Larakay completed their Asian Bodywork Therapies education at the Baltimore School of Massage, earning CBT and ABT certifications. Additionally, they obtained the BCBSA Certified Health Consultant certification from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association in 2021.
