Michael Herlong

Michael Herlong's work experience spans over several decades. Michael began their career in 1997 as a Staff Member for U.S. Senator Strom Thurmond in the United States Senate. Michael then transitioned to the financial industry, working as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley from 1998 to 1999 and at Wachovia Securities from 1999 to 2002. In 2002, they founded and became the President of Herlong Bates Burnett Insurance, Inc., where they worked until 2017. Currently, they serve as the SVP of Sales and previously held the position of Agency President at AssuredPartners, which they joined in 2017. AssuredPartners is a rapidly-growing independent insurance agency that has acquired over 325 agencies and is now one of the largest brokers in the country.

Michael Herlong attended Clemson University from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. In addition, they have obtained certifications including Certified Workers Compensation Counselor from Insurance Partners Academy in 2017, and Certified Insurance Counselor from The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research in 2011.
