Laura Bartock has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Laura is currently working as a Community Science Fellow at the Association of Science and Technology Centers since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at RESOLVE as a Facilitator from July 2016 to August 2021. Other roles include being the Associate Director of the Sondheim Public Affairs Scholars Program at the University of Maryland Baltimore County from December 2015 to June 2016, a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at SUNY-ESF from August 2013 to May 2015, a Sustainability Intern and Tutor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County from January 2013 to August 2013, a Summer REU Intern at Harvard Forest in 2012, a Marketing Communications Intern at Friends of the Patapsco Heritage Greenway from September 2011 to November 2011, a Park Assistant at Piney Run Park from April 2011 to September 2011, a Summer Support Staff at Living Classrooms Foundation in 2010, and a Technical Intern at Advanced Land and Water, Inc. in 2009.

Laura Bartock earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media and Communication Studies from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, which they attended from 2009 to 2013. Laura then pursued a Master's degree in Environmental Communication and Participatory Processes at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, where they studied from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate of Advanced Study in Conflict Resolution from Syracuse University during the same period. In 2023, Laura Bartock also obtained a certification in Data Ethics for Practitioners from Canvas Credentials (Badgr).
