Jonathan Davies

Jonathan Davies is a seasoned executive in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Head of Medical & Development Strategy & Operations at Astellas Pharma since April 2022. With a strong influence in global M&D strategic planning and a focus on enhancing the performance of M&D operations, Jonathan oversees 146 reports across multiple regions. Jonathan’s experience at Astellas Pharma spans nearly two decades, progressing from roles such as Senior Director Late Phase Clinical Development & Operations to Vice President of Operational Excellence in Medical Affairs, where responsibilities included managing substantial budgets and spearheading global strategic transformation initiatives. Earlier in Jonathan's career, experience as a Senior Clinical Research Associate and Clinical Programme Manager at Takeda involved leading phase I and II trials and collaborating on multinational studies. Jonathan holds a Master's Degree in Biomedical Science Research from King’s College, University of London, and a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Durham.
