Junil Kim

Junil Kim serves as Vice President and General Manager at Astellas Pharma, overseeing the South Korea affiliate with accountability for the subsidiary's profit and loss and serving as a legal and fiduciary board member. With extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Junil held various senior roles at Bayer, including Vice President and Head of Strategy & Operations for Asia Pacific, where responsibility encompassed regional portfolio strategies, marketing operations, and market access. Previous positions include leadership in market access across Asia Pacific, General Manager in the Philippines, and roles in Global Market Access and specialty medicine. Junil began a career in pharmaceuticals at GSK and served as a medic in the US Army. Junil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Chung-Ang University and completed several executive training programs at prestigious institutions including INSEAD, Esade, and IMD.
