Veronika Hughes-Bednar

Veronika Hughes-Bednar is an accomplished legal executive with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Since February 2014, Veronika has held various leadership roles at Astellas Pharma, currently serving as Vice President and Global Head of Legal Transactions, overseeing the global legal team supporting Medical Affairs and Development functions. Previous positions include Vice President of Innovation & Research Legal and Senior Director of Corporate & Commercial Legal for EMEA. Veronika's earlier career included roles at GE Healthcare and CMS Cameron McKenna, along with secondments at Johnson & Johnson. In addition, Veronika serves as Chair of the Governing Board for St. Boniface School and Nursery. Veronika holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Eötvös Loránd University and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Global Business Law from Suffolk University Law School.
