Yongting Wang

Yongting Wang currently serves as the Head of Biology in Cell & Gene Therapy Research and the Head of Research at Astellas Institute for Regenerative Medicine, with prior titles including Executive Director of Research and Sr. Director of Research at Astellas Pharma since July 2022. From April 2019 to July 2022, Yongting held the position of Sr. Director of R&D in Protein Biochemistry & Neuroscience at Elevian, Inc., leading strategic research initiatives and collaborations. Yongting previously spent 14 years at Shanghai Jiao Tong University as a Professor and Special Research Professor, focusing on gene therapy and neurovascular regeneration, while also teaching and mentoring students. Additional experience includes a Visiting Scholar role at Harvard Medical School, mentorship roles, and a Postdoctoral Associate position at MIT, resulting in extensive expertise in biochemistry and neuroscience. Yongting's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and degrees from Jilin University.
