Obayedul Islam (Rahat) has a diverse work experience in various healthcare companies and organizations. In 2019, they worked as a Project Consultant for Shakti Foundation for Disadvantaged Women, focusing on Model Pharmacy & Digital Health. Obayedul then served as an Independent Business Consultant for a large private group of companies, a healthcare service provider, and a private hospital & clinic in Bangladesh, starting in 2020. In 2021, Rahat worked as a Healthcare Business Consultant for President Abdul Hamid Medical College & Hospital and as Head of Operations for Dr. Shajib's Diabetic, Asthma and Medical Center (DSDAMC). In 2022, they took on the roles of Independent Business Consultant for an international development organization, Bangladesh Operation Head for Aster Pharmacy, and Vice President of Operations for GD Assist.

Obayedul Islam (Rahat) has a diverse education history spanning multiple disciplines. Obayedul started their education at Railway Government Primary School in Kishoreganj, where they received their primary education from class 1 to class 5 from 1988 to 1993. Obayedul then attended Government Boys High School in Kishoreganj and completed their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in Science from 1994 to 1999. Moving on, they pursued higher education at Wali Newaz Khan College in Kishoreganj and obtained their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) in Science from 1999 to 2001.

After their pre-university education, Obayedul Islam enrolled in the University of Development Alternative, where they focused on Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Administration. Obayedul completed their Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) degree from 2003 to 2007. Continuing their academic journey, they then attended the University of South Asia to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Public Health, which they completed from 2013 to 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Obayedul Islam has obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. These certifications include "Pharmaceutical Systems Strengthening 101" from USAID in April 2022, "Innovation of Digital Health To Strengthen Public Health Systems Through Model Pharmacy" from Shakti Foundation for Disadvantaged Women in March 2020, "Smooth Supply Chain Management System During Emergency Situation" from Shakti Foundation for Disadvantaged Women in September 2019, "Family Planning: US Abortion and FP Requirements," "HIV/AIDS: HIV/AIDS Legal and Policy Requirements," and "Protecting Lives in Global Health Assistance (previously MCP)" from Population Services International in July 2018. Obayedul has also obtained certifications in "Finance for Non-finance Managers" and "Digital Marketing & Social Communications" from Labaid Hospitals and Diagnostics in September and June 2016, respectively.

Additionally, Obayedul Islam has acquired certifications such as "Quick response of Digital Health Services Through mHealth & Tele-medicine in Remote" from Pharmasia Limited in May 2014, "mHealth Basics: Introduction to Mobile Technology for Health" from USAID in September 2013, "How To Achieve Marketing Target in Rural & Urban Based Promotional Program (RUBPP)" and "Happiness in work place during under pressure" from NIPRO JMI Pharma Ltd. in October 2012 and July 2011, respectively. These certifications reflect their ongoing commitment to learning and professional development.
