Paul Bates currently serves as the Senior Lead for Training & Certification at both the ASTM Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence and ASTM International, where responsibilities include developing training programs for the additive manufacturing community and organizations. With previous roles at UL, including Manager of Facility Safety & Workforce Development and General Manager of the UL AMCC Training Center, Paul has extensive experience in additive manufacturing training, safety management, and operational oversight. A former Director of Advanced Process Engineering at Reebok International, Paul managed CAD engineering teams and advanced footwear product development. Paul's expertise encompasses 3D printing technologies and CAD/CAM systems, supported by a BS in Design Technology from Bowling Green State University and an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.
