Carl Maskell

Carl Maskell has a diverse work experience in the fields of technology, cyber security, and intelligence analysis. Carl currently holds the position of Head of Technology and Cyber Security at Aston Barclay Vehicle Remarketing. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Cyber Security at the same company. From 2017 to 2022, they worked as the Group Information Security Officer at Mazars. In 2017, they briefly worked as a Freelance Information Security Consultant at C.M. Consulting. Carl also has a significant background in the Royal Air Force (RAF), where they held various roles including Senior Intelligence Threat Analyst, Operations Threat Advisor, Intelligence Collection Manager, and Intelligence Mission Support Analyst.

Carl Maskell completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Hons.) degree in Intelligence and Security with a focus on Cyber Security/Ethical Hacking from Staffordshire University. Carl attended the university from 2013 to 2016. In addition, they participated in a Masters Short Course on Leading Change and Innovation in Rapidly Evolving Environments at the University of Brighton.

Carl Maskell also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. Carl earned the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in September 2018. Carl also obtained the ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and ISO27001 Lead Implementer certifications from IT Governance Ltd in May 2017. Furthermore, they achieved the Network+, Security+, and CISMP certifications from CompTIA and BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, respectively, in April 2017 and February 2017.
