Yadgiri Rao TN has a strong work experience in the field of defense electronics. Yadgiri started their career as Additional Director at Defence Electronics Research Lab in 1997, where they led a team for the indigenous development of three different systems for different platforms. In 2006, they became Associate Director at the same organization, heading a programme of national importance and leading a multidisciplinary team for the indigenous development of five different electronic systems. In 2013, they joined Bharat Electronics as an Adviser, guiding and advising different systems groups in system integration, testing, and evaluation of strategic electronic systems. Since 2014, they have been working as Vice President (EW Systems) at Astra Microwave Products Ltd, where they are responsible for starting a new group and establishing in-house capability in the development of EW Systems.
Yadgiri Rao TN has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from the University College of Engineering, Osmania University, which was obtained from 1967 to 1973. Additionally, Yadgiri Rao TN holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Advanced Electronics from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, which was completed between 1978 and 1981.
