Karash Turpin

Karash Turpin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in manufacturing and operations, particularly in the aerospace and energy sectors. Currently serving as VP/Head of Manufacturing/Operations at Astra since June 2024, Turpin leads efforts to rebuild and enhance manufacturing processes for Satellite Propulsion Systems. Prior roles include VP/Head of Manufacturing at Northvolt, overseeing high-performance energy storage solutions, and VP/Sr. Director of Manufacturing at Kitty Hawk, where Turpin facilitated the production of eVTOL vehicles. Previous leadership positions include Chief Operating Officer roles at ACT Aerospace and Advantus Corp., focusing on aerospace composite manufacturing and operational growth. Turpin has also held significant engineering and development positions at SEKISUI Aerospace Corporation, Linde, Xylem, and Hexcel Corporation, contributing to various advancements in manufacturing technologies and processes. Turpin holds a degree from the University of Wyoming and is a graduate of Riverton High School.
