Mark Osikowicz

Mark Osikowicz is a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in space product development, currently at Astra since February 2023. In this role, Mark focuses on the design and analysis of electric thrusters and propulsion systems for spacecraft, serving as the responsible engineer and technical lead for propulsion module design and qualification testing. Prior to Astra, Mark held the position of Senior Design Engineer at Aerojet Rocketdyne from May 2017 to January 2023, designing various thrusters and propulsion systems while collaborating across engineering teams. Previous experience includes mechanical design engineering at General Kinematics Vibrating Equipment, as well as multiple co-op positions at UTC Aerospace Systems, where involvement spanned emergency power systems to electronics packaging. Mark earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, completing studies in 2016.
