Alex Clithero

Alex Clithero is an accomplished engineer specializing in space technology and radiation effects. Currently serving as Chief Engineer at Astranis Space Technologies since May 2021, Alex has also held positions as Sr. Spacecraft Engineer and Space Radiation Effects Engineer within the same company. Prior experience includes the role of Space Radiation Effects Engineer II at Northrop Grumman from July 2019 to May 2021 and a Volunteer Research Assistant at the U.C. Berkeley Department of Nuclear Engineering, where radiation environment modeling in MCNP was conducted. Earlier in their career, Alex worked as a Laboratory Assistant and Research Assistant at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, focusing on laboratory instruction and advanced experimental physics. Alex holds a Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor’s degree in Space Physics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
