Jonathan Nguyen

Jonathan Nguyen is a Software Defined Radio Systems Engineer at Astranis Space Technologies since April 2022, bringing a wealth of experience in digital communications and software engineering. Prior roles include Laboratory Assistant at UCLA Communications Systems Laboratory, where key responsibilities involved designing simulations of LDPC codes and collaborating on neural networks to enhance decoding complexity. Jonathan's background also includes work as a DSP and Communications Associate Engineer at Astranis, where contributions included modeling adaptive IQ balancers and launching trade studies on digital signal processing. Additional internships at The Aerospace Corporation, PHYSICAL OPTICS CORPORATION, and the City of Fremont provided Jonathan with diverse experience in digital signal processing, hardware testing, and IT management. Jonathan holds a Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from UCLA.
