Ryan Draves is a skilled software engineer with experience in various roles within aerospace and education. Currently serving as a Software Test Engineer at Astranis since June 2021, Ryan specializes in testing flight software while working with test infrastructure and embedded systems programming. Previously, as a CubeSat Software Developer at Michigan eXploration Laboratory, Ryan developed flight software for the MC9 CubeSat mission using C++. Ryan also led a student project team, UM::Autonomy, as President, guiding the development of an autonomous boat and drone while prioritizing team safety during the pandemic. Additional internships at NASA Glenn Research Center involved software development for an Autonomous Power Controller, utilizing languages such as Python and C++, while earlier roles included web development at the University of Michigan and Mecosta Osceola ISD. Ryan holds a degree from the University of Michigan College of Engineering, building a strong foundation in mathematics and computer science from Ferris State University.
