Iker Huerga

Iker Huerga is a data science and technology leader with extensive experience in the healthcare and biotech industries. As the Chief Data Scientist at AstraZeneca since July 2024, Iker oversees data-driven strategies across various clinical programs. Previously held roles include Executive Vice President at Tempus Labs, where Iker advanced real-world data applications, and Chief Data Scientist for Oncology R&D at AstraZeneca, focusing on clinical trial design. Additional experience includes co-founding Da'at Technologies, leading the Engineering and Applied Machine Learning department at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and founding Signifikance. Iker's technical expertise encompasses machine learning, big data architecture, and software engineering, supported by a Master's in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Mondragon Unibertsitatea.
