Paola Caramenti

Paola Caramenti is a highly skilled scientist in the field of medicinal chemistry with extensive experience in small molecule research and discovery process research. Currently, Paola serves as a Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry at Roche since January 2023. Previous roles include a Scientist at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson and an SNF Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung, where the focus was on the total synthesis of natural products under the guidance of Prof. Alois Fürstner. Paola completed a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at EPFL, working on the design of novel electrophilic heterocycles and transition metal catalysis. Earlier educational accomplishments include a Master of Science in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies from Università degli Studi di Milano and a high school diploma from Liceo scientifico paritario: San Bernardino (Salesiani) Chiari.
