Jianming Liu

Jianming Liu is currently an Associate Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca R&D, where they focus on in vitro biochemical assays and PROTACs as a Project Lead. With a strong foundation in early drug discovery, Jianming has expertise in target production, assay development, and screening, having previously contributed to various phases of drug discovery from Hit Finding to Lead Generation. They earned a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from Umeå University and have held significant roles at AstraZeneca, including Senior Scientist, where they developed biochemical assays and co-expression tools to enhance protein expression. Jianming also brings experience from their time as a Research Scientist at the Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences and as a Project Manager at China Hi-Tech Group Co. Ltd.
