Martin Cowie

Martin Cowie is an accomplished professional in the field of cardiology with a distinguished career in both clinical and academic settings. Currently serving as the Interim Senior Vice President for Late CVRM within Biopharmaceuticals R&D at AstraZeneca, Martin has previously held positions including Vice President for Clinical Cardiovascular & Heart Failure and Vice President for Clinical Research. Martin also contributes to the academic community as an Adjunct Professor at King's College London and a Professor of Cardiology at Imperial College London, in addition to serving as a Consultant Cardiologist at Royal Brompton Hospital. As a Non-Executive Director at NICE, Martin brings significant expertise in cardiovascular physiology and epidemiology, supported by an MD from the University of Aberdeen.
