Semer Maksoud is a biologist with a bachelor's degree and a PhD in Cell Biology from the Central University of Venezuela. They served as a Doctoral Researcher at the Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Científicas, where they developed a co-infection system for Leishmania and HIV. Semer has extensive experience in drug screening and cancer research, holding positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Massachusetts General Hospital and currently as a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca.
