Yael Matar

Yael Matar is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in various legal capacities. Currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel and Data Protection Officer at AstraZeneca since December 2024, Matar also holds a crucial position on the Management Team. Previously, as General Counsel at MediCane Health Incorporated from April 2022 to December 2024, Matar provided comprehensive legal consultation and ensured regulatory compliance. Additionally, Matar spent over 14 years at Danziger, initially as Legal Counsel and later as Head of the Legal Department, managing a team during significant company growth. Early legal experience includes serving as a Legal Assistant to a Judge at the Tel Aviv District Court, focusing on criminal law. Matar holds a Master of Laws (LLM) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Tel Aviv University.
